Dear Friend,
Jackie and I are excited to invite you to share our new project with you, the Starry Night Gala . This project was over two years in the making - an evening of star-themed tunes featuring Jackie with her band framed by orchestral arrangements penned by some of our dearest and most talented friends.
Jackie returns to her roots singing classics such as Stardust and When You Wish Upon a Star, as well as more contemporary fare such as Stevie Wonder's Another Star and Don McClean's Vincent (Starry, Starry Night). Many of the arrangers will be familiar to you - John Clayton, Frank Proto, Matt Harris, Bill Cunliffe, Mike Kocour, Mark Buselli, and Jody Nagle. The first two concerts will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Muncie Symphony Orchestra and will be held in the intimate Sursa Hall on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie Indiana. The Gala Concert, held on Saturday, October 4th, will feature cocktails, dinner, an after concert reception, and a CD of the concert. The second evening will feature the concert alone at a reduced ticket price and very low priced student tickets. Due to limited seating, tickets will not be available through the normal outlets, but only by calling the MSO office directly: 765.285.5531
